PassportPhotoSizes

About PassportPhotoSizes

PassportPhotoSizes is a free reference for passport and visa photo requirements, published by Allegro Digital. It exists because the information is scattered across academic keys, agency PDFs and commercial content, none of which is usable on a phone at the moment you need it.

How the content is made

Every country page names the authority whose published rules govern that application, and specifications are only included where they are well established. A missing country is better than a guessed one.

Entries are written to be usable rather than complete. Where a choice exists between a technically precise description and one a non-specialist can act on, the site chooses the second and says so.

What this site will not do

  • Publish machine-translated content. Locales get material written for that region, because most of what is covered here is region-specific.
  • Use photographs it does not hold the rights to. The only photographic images on the site are the app’s own App Store screenshots.
  • Overstate risk to make a page more compelling, or understate it to make one more reassuring.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, it should be fixed rather than defended. Every article carries the date it was last reviewed, and substantive corrections update that date rather than being made silently.

The app

PassportPhotoSizes is published alongside Passport Photo Maker+, which does the part a website cannot: identification from a photograph, offline, at the moment you are standing in front of the thing.
